It was a lovely day, the day you decided to go swimming. The sun shone down over the water, the surface sparkling like a thousand tiny diamonds were perched right on top. The ocean was as clear as the sky, you could see the coral so clearly it was mesmerising.
Where the ship, The Aurora, had weighed her anchor was quite secluded, hidden close two the shores of an island. You hadn’t been stagnant for long, only having been there for almost a day. You had stopped so the crew could gather more resources while you and Seonghwa had stayed with the ship, alone. If you didn’t count the ten people in the brig. You floated on top of the water, eyes closed. Your hair flowed out around you, circling you. Your eyes were closed.
Seonghwa couldn’t help watching you.
You made little paddling movements with your hands, creating small ripples on the waters surface. You wore nothing but one of his shirts, in fact you wore the shirt he had worn the day previous. Seonghwa was lent on his elbows against the side of the ship, playing with a long leaf he had picked from the tree hanging overhead a couple meters away.
You looked hypnotic.
When you opened your eyes a few moment later, your gazes met instantly. You sent him a loving smile, almost having to squint as the sun casted it’s beams through the trees. Then you started shallowly pulling yourself back towards The Aurora. Amused, Seonghwa pushed himself off of his elbows, letting the singular leave fall from his fingertips and flutter down to the ocean top. He made his way towards the ladder you had placed on the side of the boat before you jumped in, ready to help pull you up. Not that you needed help. You met him when you reached the top, slinging a leg over the balustrade, your faces inches away from one another. Your gaze dropped to his lips for a second but Seonghwa hadn’t noticed for his gaze flickered down to your body during the same second. His shirt stuck to your body in such a way the imagination was no longer needed to wonder what was there.
In a flash his hands were on your hips, lifting you up over the side of the ship so you stood before him on both feet. You leant lack on your elbows, back against the wood as Seonghwa pushed against you gently and placing a slow kiss to your lips. “Nice swim?” He inquired, voice low so that your ears wouldn’t have heard him if there was even a breath of air. You smiled at him, eyes meeting his once again with an almost smug look: like your gaze was smirking at him.
“It was great.” You said, pressing your lips together as you failed to suppress a smile. In the blink of an eye you were no longer caught between his arm but instead walking away from him. Seonghwa turned to watch your form, like his eyes were pulled buy invisible strings attached to your body. You stopped for a moment and Seonghwa realised that the captains’ cabin, your cabin, was in your path. The glance you threw over your shoulder had Seonghwa wanting to run to your every beck and call. Instead, he sent you a small nod and returned your smirk from earlier, stepping slowly after you.
You had entered the cabin first, having got there first when you hadn’t waiting for him to catch up with you. You stood before a mirror, its corners weathered and tattered due to its age and the time spent at sea. It was ornate and spectacular, framed with real gold and pearls. Seonghwa thought you to be his greatest treasure and stood next to such a great one he couldn’t help but repeat his thoughts out loud. You simply rolled your eyes, a smile lifting to your lips.
You met his gaze through the mirror, “I could use a hand.” You say, beginning to unbutton the shirt you wore, which was sopping wet and stuck to you skin. It also just happened to be his shirt. Seonghwa said nothing, moving closer to you so he stood behind you. His hands felt soft against your arms as he took over from your hands, unbuttoning the last few buttons and slipping the dripping shirt to the cabin floor, placing a kiss to your exposed shoulder. You just watched him through the mirror.
“There is something between us…” Seonghwa only stopped his words to kiss a part of your skin. “And it is the most beautiful,” — a kiss placed against your shoulder — “thing,” — kiss brushed against your ear — “I have ever felt.” He finished, your shirt dropping to the wooden floor of the cabin. Now you stood a mere centimetre in front of him, bare, with nothing to hide.
“Bold words, Captain.” You mumbled, breathless, as your head fell back on his collar, giving him more access to the base of your neck.
“Truer have never been uttered.” Seonghwa whispered against your skin. You felt the goosebumps raise slowly, like each one was awaked as Seonghwa made is way slowly across your skin with his lips. His hands, which were now free of the shirt, found themselves snaking around your waits, pulling you to his chest. You felt his lips quirk up into a smirk at the sound of your gasp, the short intake of air leaving your lips involuntarily. Your eyes were now closed, fluttering as you struggled to open them, his lips gliding across the skin of your neck before stopping at your jaw and placing a bite there. His hands were warm against your skin.
You couldn’t take much more of the gentle touches her gave you, how his fingertips traced designs as intricate as lace into the skin of your lower tummy, how his lips barely touched your skin as he broke away from your neck. You turned in his hold, eyes ablaze with certain fire and Seonghwa just smirked at you.
He let you push him backwards, making sure his steps were placed properly and with the last push you gave him he twisted on the ball of his right foot and pulled you down. He watched as you landed on your back, splayed out and breathless for him.
Just for him.
With one last smile as he stood above you, he yanked his own shirt over his head and leant down to join you.
