church people adopted little trans kid (me) and i have about 30 people to ring if i need help

do you know how cool it is being in a church with openly gay couples and trans people and female vicers

do you know how cool it is being in a church that's small enough that word got round that a there's someone new, so within three weeks, everyone knows who i am, they know my pronouns, they know i'm a student, and they're so excited to meet me

handed in my first coursework on friday!

being openly trans is awesome especially when you have two friends who very unapologetically correct people about your pronouns n shit, and it really helps that theyre Guys who Do Not Fuck Around but also support trans rights

being on my own and only having to look after myself has been an adjustment and the child of immigrants guilt lingers but overall? very good effect

my kitchen flooded when i was doing dishes at 3am last week and i had to phone campus security but they were very nice even though i was in my jammies, socks, and one slider (the other one was floating away)

Getting over someone can take a while, it's different for everyone. For me, when I broke up with a serious ex, it took me months to get over her, and that's okay. We can't really control how long it takes us to heal and move on, so it's just important that, while we're healing, we really let ourselves feel everything. If you're sad, let yourself be sad, if you're angry, let yourself be angry. Feel. I cannot stress that enough. Once you've let yourself feel and heal, it'll get easier and you'll eventually move on.
