in the process of staring at the intro characters right now and the thought occurred to me that the white shirt singer guy might be the same guy in the intro. i wouldn't expect the intro itself (especially something as specific as the order characters show up in) to have meaning BUT !! its funny how they both have (nearly. excluding the tie) the exact same outfit. its also funny how their song was about Not drinking the Water and the person in the intro is always holding a mug. While being beside the keyboard player. i am squinting at them
Ok its been enough time i can make a big post about episode 4 now (specific parts of it anyway)
this will mostly be about the character's interactions/behavior cause that has always been the Most Interesting thing to me. i would have talked about the episode more generally but i got So tired writng this much Cough!
as confusing as it was im actually so happy we very randomly got developments on both bob and fred like at the same time. i guess it counts for zippy doo too but we've yet to hear back from him.. (For clarity i will be assuming most of what bob and fred talked about is true but ill get to that)
and ill do this in the only way i know how which is Line By Line yeahhh pull that dialogue up for me now..
getting ahead of myself a little, zippy doo and bob's relationship in the context of zippy doo being an Imaginary Friend Made Real (which is what i assume but thats Later on!!!) is so interesting to me cause its clear that zippy doo is now just his own person. if he came from bob's mind the way their relationship is breaking apart now is so fucked up... /pos
the way zippy puts it also makes me think a little that he might be getting jealous that Bob now has other friends and less time dedicated to zippy doo. a Very big Assumption but even aside from that, i feel like theres a lot of things that would make zippy doo feel like he isnt being appreciated. Bob rarely ever listens to him, he doesnt treat their relationship with much care (Vase Incident which he couldnt have done anything about but he still didnt gaf about, which i Also think very clearly symbolizes the literal bonds being broken all the time in their friendship) and bob, as we see in the next scene just Doesnt seem to be good at expressing anything to his friends (Or he genuinely doesnt care in this scenario
genuinely i dont know why he did this but its the instance in this episode of Bob not listening to Zippy at all (or taking his words into consideration) . i think in the context of a sitcom this would be a funny comedic trait but Zippy always seems genuinely upset about it happening
also i like how bob STILL dismisses what Zippy had Literally told him That Morning. yeah he was just being silly Bob, nothing Zippy tells you is actually important you gotta keep being in denial /sar. i hate him
the scene of Bob reading the ransom note has also been on my mind a Lottt i really love the visual effect that was used and aside from that it seems to me like Bob maybe. is extremely distanced from his own emotions or handles them so poorly that it Gets to him once in a while. i dont associate this with the way he talks since i think his voice and tone is just kinda a Bob Thing but the reaction to things around him are Never this serious. i dont know how to describe it
also i need to bring up some observations ive made in the past about Bob where it seems like he only really gets this riled up if hes at fault somehow. this is obvious in episode 2 where he only seems to get super upset over zippy doo continually guilt tripping him over how it was His Fault for not being there but in a lot of other scenarios he denies or is annoyed by being blamed (zippy telling him fred was put off by his song, in this episode i believe he realizes he actually could have done something to prevent zippy doo being kidnapped or like. At least cared). and also how nothing concerns him if its not his problem. his way of only caring about specific things is more complicated to me but amyways
as much as this sounds ominous or done for comedic affect its also kinda sad to me that this is what Bob thinks of him being a roommate in some way. he does it because he loves you Bob and also most likely doesnt have anywhere else to go
okay i finally have to adress this part of the video . I Dont know what the hell this was about at all, obviously Fred i guess, but im more wondering why he would put this in his own video. im assuming he made the video or he at least made all the song writing featured in it and its just. Not addressed at all its not like Bob would care. some things that are stated more plainly like him having been abandoned at the age of six and i guess being lonely? i have to assume that unlike Bob, growing up for a long time without a home (probably?) would fuck him up a little but its so curious to me that he seems a lot less desperate than Bob is for company. He doesn't want to be alone but he doesnt really enjoy his neighbor's company either because fuck him i guess. im sorry that youre dead physically Fred even though i can see you alive and well right there (also fucked up that birds were acknowledged at all. does he know
Bob violence moments. i think if Fred or Zippy weren't here he'd make the worst decisions ever
i dont know why he starts being incredibly vague and ominous during this bit he just saw Fred doing this in his video tape and he realized he could open up or something. i like to think he means "since the dawn of your existence" as only a very dramatic way to say that he and Zippy were childhood friends. Like since Fred was born ? but then its still weird that he's referring specifically to Fred's Birth Date (if he knows this??)
the way he reminisces about this being a lovely story makes me a little emotional considering their current relationship like He does love his friends. also obviously hes not an only child since Bilbert exists and i feel like there could be a lot of reasons he says that.. ive seen someone say he could have created Bilbert, he could be lying, Bilbert could be adopted?? or my personal belief that Bob was just neglected so much that he might have never met Bilbert for most of his life and just. Doesnt include him in his backstory
this as a revelation is still so insane to me . but i think it makes so many things make sense.. like yeah he spent so much time in his room playing make believe all by himself of course he'd love making a show and starring as the mc where he plays fun games with all the fun characters . all he does is make people play along with him... specifically i believe that VOTW is a Bob Thing. like they only speak when theres no other characters but Bob and Zippy present and Bob is literally the only character to actually acknowledge them. i think hes just talking to his house
also "if no one wants to be my friend" :-((((((( nbghjkhbghmnmnhmvgbng He Still hasnt found anybody who likes him its fucked. what he talks about after this to me with the whole Creating a friend thing.. my possibly hot take is that this basically confirms that he has powers of some kind .im pretty sure that Zippy Doo is our very real person friend who exists in reality and talks to Fred and others hes just been here since Bob Made Him
also the last line he says there is SO FUCKING OMINOUS TO ME... Breaking whose hearts Bob. zippy?? Fred?? his parents? combined with the line earlier about how he couldnt "kidnap him any further" it makes it sound like its possible that there were like. Sacrifices made in order to make Zippy Doo but i dunnooo.. i dunno im gonna move on now
also fred's reaction to this is so ??? Mean?? maybe im reading it wrong but he seems SO freaked out like yeah hes asking about the missing poster but he doesnt seem to give a fuck about Bob's story or at the very least he doesnt Say anything if hes concerned. Im sure if we werent in a sitcom setting he MIGHT have given it more consideration but like... damn that is all you have to say to the guy who is letting you stay at his house and is trying his best . the way he consistently doesnt let himself get closer to Bob in their relationship, in what i still think is Fred being too weirded out by him but at the same time neither of them are good at communication at all. i feel like if both of them were a little more considerate theyd be best friends!!!! just hug it out please oh my god its sad. its so sad
also i love his violent tendencies in this one. Hes willing to kill for Zippy Doo but he gives up on looking for him entirely after learning that he should not kill people. thanks bob. Thanks for this episode bob i love you. i will not stop studying him under a microscope

i was WRONG! we did get something today (yesterday) (tommorow) which i had a very strong feeling it was gonna be another vhs tape with the amount of time since last episode (3 months) and the way it was alluded to..
creepy triangles spelling out "father dimple 1985 curious alleyway showtime".. its weird that father dimple has been a nickname for god even before it appeared here but.. spooky! spooky arg spelling game! i have to guess this might be something that will tie into whatever happens in the next episode.
ive probably mentioned that the fred moving in teaser had a line thats said by goldenmann in the episode after ( "me of all people/you of all people" ), i think it will be something like that. maybe father dimple will appear in the alleyway, maybe we'll get back to there at all or it'll never be mentioned again. who knows.. i do think father dimple will still be relevant though
Also, does anyone else feel like smiggly dimple is pulling a fucking Michael Distortion in the recording booth. like the way her presence/voice distorts the recording and the dramatic and badass entry one-liner. i love her a lot.. its really hard to make out what she says before that because shes super quiet but i think i can hear her say her name? and maybe making some kind of cartoonish ghostly ooo-ing sound..
this is also really fucked up to me. i think that bob brickface news isnt necessarily the news station used by the entire world outside of tbbs but it seems like something he would make up. but also like?? Ignoring how romantic "you are his world" sounds, the first thing i thought of was that she really only exists because we perceive her.<- Need to think about this some more in the context of his show in ep 3.. something something so many characters have had some kind of ties to mental spaces and perception (jonald, glubtrubb, gp, zippy doo, bob to some extent relating to ribcage's monologue)
this is also smiggly dimple's fourth death RIP i really hope she keeps coming back for no reason

last thing, theres no doubt in my mind that "something else but i cant remember who" is goose palmer. the second half of the song that isnt included in the karaoke (which they acknowledge) is basically dedicated to it. Stop being associated with forgetting things fred!!!! stop!!!! (Not even mentioning that his name abbreviated is the same as flashback framhandlehyde)
why does this guy never know what fuckin time it is. in all seriousness this keeps being a theme where if something is being updated there will be dates but only said in a way that is some kind of riddle or vague. thanks bob.. he keeps mentioning diseases too
