I do this for fun but if i get inactive its because i have a hundred other interests and counting. there is no schedule as setting up rules for myself just makes it less fun to create stuff. Yay

good morning good evening goodnight i love you hello goodbye
so like apparently if you pull up bob brickface's channel on the youtube app on the tv, it shows an extended version of his channel banner which has !!! never before seen text !!! i have a photo of it but it's very shit quality and really hard to read so you're just gonna have to trust my word on this y'all.... but im not lying i swear /gen
Spoiler alert i have been trying to work on a Video Music Edit for a while but i kept drawing while doing this and having more thoughts soo IDGAF ABOUT THE NUMBER!!! IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THEM i will post* with. my thoughts
Out of anything in episode 5 i want to share my thoughts about, of course this song is the one i want to the most. obviously i have to give a fair Theory Disclaimer* to take everything with as much salt as youd like, i just feel more confident this time around about the connections ive made and what i think all these lyrics could be about so its alll gonna be my bullshit!!!
*disclaimer: This is a Long Post. im making shit up and all of my ideas will change in time and i dont want to always have a concrete idea about what this show is about. but i like making shit up. also im not good at riddles
the name "a grave sight" sounding like a play on words of "a gravesite" is so awesome to me. fuck its so cool.... bob you trickster...
the thing i think about the lyrics overall that has made the most sense to me is that For Whatever Reason each chorus goes back and forth from being about Bob to being about Smiggly. important context because im gonna be viewing it as that the entire time Lol (because i do think they are really closely paralleled sometimes obviously and sometimes not but im Not going into that in this post. i just think theyre two parts of one picture)
(ignore the second image i wanted the lyric example to be less long)
the first part of the chorus starts with
"Heavy thoughts upon your brow
Piling up and buried now
Voices echo across the hall
Cannot register at all"
and maybe an obvious or simple observation but i think it describes some kind of repression. heavy thoughts have literally been buried, and voices arent heard anymore (?). maybe not even as voices or whatever is being repressed ! Not that i know because we dont have enough context on Bob really (yeah i know episode 4 but that kinda moved on to be about zippy doo and fuck if Bob is gonna tell us any more about itself like that. like we dont know what happened after Bob grew up! I want to know !!!)
middle part now:
"Overwhelmed in a sorry state
Laudable or reprobate?"
to be honest im blurry on who could be in a Sorry State. like we've never seen Bob when its not on the show and on the show it seems pretty. Not sorry. or overwhelmed usually. but i think it checks out because of the first lines since all those heavy thoughts were Piling Up (would be overwhelming methinks !). the best i got for the second part is basically asking (us? or a nebulous fourth wall) is this behavior to be commended/praised even if its. Well that. or is it unacceptable? im not sure why!!! personally i dont think its unacceptable but i dont think this is healthy or good for Bob !
and the final part:
"In which room shall my mind abide
Do not think if you can't decide"
this is one of the lyrics that my thoughts on are a bit of a stretch i Think. the only thing this makes me think is that asking where your mind should "stay" implies your mind needs a place to stay. One could say that it is Lost! maybe ! i have to wonder if this has been decided or not. hmm !
and now for the second chorus:
"Body changing
Re-arranging
Taking you to
Better framing"
Well ok this is just episode 3 i believe. i mean we literally see the Oracle appear during this part in the music video. the first two lines seem obvious to me but the last two i think are describing how Smiggly Dimple went from the stage of the tv show he was in to the cemetery/triangle park. interesting way to describe a cemetery but i dunno !
and then:
"Somewhere out there you'll be thoughtless
Dreaming in a pitch black darkness"
the first thing that comes to mind with this for me is that in episode 3 smiggly dimple was literally taken into a pitch black darkness and killed at the end of the episode. which is basically all i got but its interesting to think about
finally:
"If you want to stop the focus
Just look somewhere else"
this one is another stretch from me because ive been holding onto the idea that the "focus" being referred to is the focus of a camera. If you want to stop the focus, making it out of focus and blurry, point it somewhere else. of course thats the same word for the focus of human eyes but i think thats on purpose. cameras are a lens after all and our eyes into the world of tv shows
and now the second bob chorus:
"Silly boy who is trapped in time
Scarcely locked in pantomime"
this is my favorite line in the entire song. maybe out of any of the songs i just think this and the chorus itself sounds so fucking cool. I LOVE SONGS WITH LORE!!! its also my favorite because the first thing that came to mind about it is the "time" is the time period this show takes place in. its always emphasized that this is the bob brickface show from 1985 and everything about the show is stereotypically so!! it is so interesting of an aspect to be thrown in and its just fun to think about. like what did they even mean by that.. the second line is a little lost on me because pantomimes seem pretty relevant to this show but im not sure why it would be scarcely locked in that. my best guess is perhaps the pantomime only goes on for the limited amount of time bob has off of "work" and the limited time they have each episode on air !
ect:
"Spikes of anguish impale thy dome
When in silence in your home"
this is another kind of simple one to me like that makes sense, either being alone at home or even just the silence is really upsetting in a way. Not much 2 say there because i do think it simply lines up with Bob
continuing:
"Imagining can make you mad
Flashing pictures make you sad"
the first line is well. episode 4 Bob backstory monologue. "It got so bad i imagined the inanimate objects around me were alive" and all that. it makes it sound like Bob is pulling a don quixote on us in some way.. the flashing pictures themselves are a whole other thing to analyze but aside from the Literal Pictures we get shown it could describe memories to me.
"Defiled memory will be my guide
Took it when i lost my pride"
this part has such interesting wording to me. like, defiled? was that done by something or someone? was it done on purpose? did something happen?? (Brobably..) this line even makes me question if its about Fred because hes the Memory Problems guy MOST of the time (bob has its own shit going on about that though) . the second one is even more interesting to me cause again i wonder if Bob is the one who lost its pride.. im swirling it around in my brain its gonna puzzle me for a while
"Surround yourself with a noisy sight
Heavy heart can become light"
hmmm! escapism. Perhaps ! this part of the music video sticks out to me because it feels like it especially pairs with this lyric where we see pixel Bob walking through its house alongside all the pixelated guys we've met. except for Fred i guess. sure .. making a heavy heart lighter sounds like some sort of coping to me but like. i dunno if any of this will help you Bob !*(2)
"Desperate answers you want to find
What to think about the big 3 mind"
genuinely the only thing i have to say about this line is that it feels like a fourth wall jab to me. Not in a mean way ! but like. i am desperate for answers i want to find ! the only 3 i know about are Fred, Bob and Zippy and well we do want to know about their minds! i cant imagine what this is referring to though really
finally, the last smiggly dimple chorus:
"Hope is draining
Love is failing"
both of these lines are about the same thing to me but specifically it makes me think of when Smiggly was describing his show and he said "I traveled to find someone who would LOVE me and adore me" and its like. Well yeah love lost. you kinda died sorry
cont:
"Seeing you in feathered scaling
Somewhere out there
You are heartless
Scheming to destroy your partners"
the last parts are more blurry to me but this is about goose palmer to me. yup that thing sure has scales of feathers. and the whole "destroy your partners" thing.. HOWEVER i have a more insane thought about the wording of this one and its that "feathered" and "scaling" are both image editing terms. when you scale something to a different resolution it becomes "feathered" or blurry because of aliasing. this is relevant to me because of Smiggly Dimple's visual effects (which really are recurring) and how hes been described. i mean this is even the second time that the dimple family (?) has been credited for visual effects in the credits. like what the hell
finally:
"Ease the pain and look away and
Let you hurt yourself"
(2*Considering what this line says)
this part being in a bit of the song that sounds different as a final part makes me think it could apply to both of them .. either way again it sounds like its describing literally ignoring problems and letting them hurt (yourself whoever that refers to) instead of dealing with them. it parallels the first line about Looking Away but it also lines up with the lyrics about burying heavy thoughts, surrounding yourself with something distracting from the heaviness in your heart.
"let you hurt yourself" is so interesting to me though because i feel it can either be taken as literally hurting yourself, like by your own decision OR it could be taken as like, the way you'd caution others like "dont hurt yourself!" if you know what i mean. Im not sure how to describe that
Ummmm i dont have anything to say at the end but yea thats what i think and ya. the "Bob is making all these things up in its head" theory may be back on the table. like and subscribe
