Part one
You stood backstage, nervously twisting the sleeve of your hoodie, trying to act like you totally belonged there. Your friend had somehow gotten you passes to a One Direction concert, and now here you were… seconds away from meeting them.
“Don’t freak out,” your friend whispered.
Too late.
The door opened, and suddenly there he was—Harry Styles, curls a little messy, wearing a loose white t-shirt and that calm, confident smile everyone talked about.
“Hey,” he said casually, like this wasn’t a life-changing moment for you. “You alright? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
You laughed nervously. “I just… didn’t expect to actually be back here.”
“Fair enough,” he smiled, stepping a little closer. “First concert?”
“First backstage one,” you corrected.
He nodded, amused. “Well, welcome to the chaos.”
For a moment, everything slowed down. The noise from the crowd faded into the background, and it was just the two of you talking about music, school, random things that didn’t seem important but somehow felt like they were.
“You’re different,” he said suddenly.
You blinked. “Different… how?”
“Not screaming. Not asking for a photo right away.” He grinned. “It’s nice.”
Your heart did that annoying fast thing again. “I could scream if you want.”
“Please don’t,” he laughed.
Someone called his name from down the hall, and he glanced back before looking at you again.
“I’ve gotta go,” he said, then paused. “But I’m glad you came tonight, Y/N.”
You froze. “You remembered my name?”
He shrugged, smiling like it was nothing. “Course I did.”
And just like that, he was gone.
But somehow, the night didn’t feel so overwhelming anymore.
Because for a few minutes, it wasn’t about the crowd or the music or the chaos.
It was just you… and him.
