The perils of a non-education English major

My sister keeps texting me whenever my nephew has any kind of trouble with English, particularly grammar. Tonight she asked me if I had any suggestions to help him do better with parts of speech. In her words, "types of nouns" and identifying "mistakes in a sentence."

I mean, I know how to do those things... But I don't know how to teach a 3rd grader how to do it.

Because I'm a creative writing minor. I don't teach.
