Okay so I’ve been trying to make a decision about the nature of Alto’s backstory for a while but didn’t want to do it without asking publicly. I’ve been debating making Alto a trans girl but have been holding off on doing so since I’m not trans myself (questioning) and don’t know much about the trans experience. Part of her backstory does involve parental verbal abuse, but it’s not towards her gender and she would’ve transitioned in the time between leaving and meeting up with the others in the main cast. It also wouldn’t be any main focal point or really be brought up until later, but I’d have to redraw a few of the panels in the prologue.

I have a lot of trans friends who follow this comic so I’m not gonna make any kind of decision before allowing you all to weigh in. I’d also ask personally before doing any kind of implementation to make sure it’s not offensive in any way. It just would make parts of her own story make a bit more sense down the road and provide representation to people who deserve it. (even though this comic is kinda shitty)

November 2017 Update

tbh I started sketching the next page today but I have no idea when it’ll actually get done. college homework isn’t /too hectic/ but it’s just enough that it makes it hard to make time for other things. one of my teachers assigns 4 projects at once and makes them all due the same day if that’s any inclination. my semester only lasts like 3ish more weeks with thanksgiving break slapped in the middle so I hope to get a few more pages done by the end of the year at least. 

my laptop is also terrible and bluescreens at least 3-6 times daily and I can’t get it fixed until the 22nd and im this close to losing my mind

College Update

Wow apparently my last written update was in January? Wild. 

Well anyway, I’m moving out to go to college tomorrow (yikes) and don’t actually know if I’ll have the same kind of time to work on this comic. I’m still gonna do my best to keep updates frequent, but I’m not used to having a roommate or being on my own or blah blah. Things are gonna probably be not great at first since I get anxious about most things but I’ll be fine. 

Currently I have the first page of the second chapter completely lined with text bubbles, but I’m not sure if I’ll get the chance to finish it this weekend. I’ll try my best but I’m not even going to attempt to make a project. 

I’ve also decided that I’m not gonna do any of the questions any time soon. On top of everything else I have going on, it’s far too much and I always forget about it/don’t have the motivation. I’ll leave all the ones I have in there put for now just in case I do them in the future, but again, no promises.

Lil Mini Update

Hey so while I’m on this blog I’ve been meaning to say something: I wanted to actually start reblogging fanart here because I love all of it so much. If it’s not too much to ask (and if you haven’t already) can you tag any art you’ve made of the comic with #evicted just so I can find it easier? I’ll put anything in there on a rolling queue.

Also I AM planning to do the asks.. I just run another rp blog and that always makes me forget I opened asks here. Oopsie.

Okay Yeah you know the drill

I’m trying really hard but I’ve been crazy unfocused and depressed for the past.. long time and it’s hard to sit down for long periods to do the pages. I won’t wait until another friday though I’ll just post it when it’s done and try to figure out something to put myself back on schedule.

January Update

Woah hey. Happy 6 days after New Years, everybody.

Since I posted the comic page with the question stuff I’m not gonna repeat myself but I will try to finish up all those asks soon. The next page might end up being delayed a few days just because my notes for it are very vague since I planned on less dialogue and I’m back in school now. I’m gonna try to keep my promise on making the blog more organized and pretty too - even though I planned to do this over Christmas - but this also might be delayed??

Pretty much I’m very unsure about my schedule since my senior class is doing a few things this month and my first choice of college royally screwed me over so I have to do my entire portfolio again AND I gotta look into applying for summer jobs and just...........the stress hasn’t hit me yet but I can feel it slowly creeping up over the horizon to bash my skull in with a hammer.

So uh yeah, we’ll just play it by ear. By my next update I hope to have an actual percentage of how much left of story 1 there is, but I haven’t finished writing it yet. I’d say somewhere between a fourth and a half of the way done. 

Anyway, this one was a bit longer than my other updates, but I do like doing these monthly so I feel like I’m on top of things. I hope everyone’s holidays were pleasant!

I’ve been taking a small break from the questions due to schoolwork and such and plan to get back to them soon, but I’ve been kinda discouraged due to one of the questions being one I really don’t want to draw. It’s not really a problem but for future reference I’d appreciate it if I didn’t really get any asks involving any of the character’s romantic interests. It kind of makes me uncomfortable since the only one that’s really addressed is not entirely mine to dictate and won’t actually be addressed much, if at all in the actual comic. 

Again it’s not really a big deal but it’s just something that kind of makes me feel weird and I’d rather not get potentially worked up over something that’s just a fun side project. Thanks.
