If this gets 10 notes I'll post a pic of me in a maid dress
"My son turned out just fine!"
"Sir your daughter acts like a dog for strangers in the hopes of getting pets"
OOC// My feelings on my own personhood are complex right now to say the least. I am a human in the way I deserve rights and love and care like everyone else. I am human in the way that I'm part of a community that loves and cares for its members. I am a human in the way I have a human shaped body and human DNA. I'm a human in the way I am a part of nature, human in the way I wish to see the sunrise on a clear morning. Human in the way I want to lay in the fields and hike through the forest. Human in the all the ways that truly make us human.
But I'm not human in the way capitalism demands I be. Capitalism and by extension modern society demands that I work or die. Demands that I keep buying to drive the machine. Reduces me to several marketable categories, but still calls me an individual. That attempts to separate me from others. A society that attempts to erase human connection through work and division. I'm not human to be just one of countless battery's in a machine that drains our lives and discards us when we're no longer of use. Even if we're still alive. I'm not human in the way we've come to define it. Oddly enough the societal view of what makes us human destroys our humanity.
I don't want that. I know many people don't want that. Am I a person? Am I a human? Do I even want to be?

This is NOT HDG. This is my original mech fiction that has nothing to do with HDG.
That being said major content warnings for Rape/Non-con, Graphic Violence and Character death.
Nova Miles has a plan to get out of her contract with her abusive handler Barrett. It requires cunning, luck and a lot of scavenging. But that plan is interrupted when the Megacorporation base she's on is attacked by rival forces. Will she survive? Will she finally be free?
Notes
First attempt at original fiction that's all my own. Based slightly on a bunch of mech media, including Armored Core, and other stories on Tumblr. I hope I do the genre Justice
Valkyrie, Chapter 3 - Freedom
CW// Talk of and cycles of abuse, Major Character deaths, Horrors of War
Nova finally has her mech, The Valkyrie, but now she has to escape. Can she navigate the wreckage of the Acrotek base and escape? Or will she be stopped, dead in her tracks. Read to find out!
Valkyrie Chapter 2 - Damage
CW// Mentions of sexual assault and extreme violence
Nova's Argo flies in combat. Despite it heavy, damaged, out of date frame, Nova makes the best of it. If it wasn't for her debt she would have been recognized as a top pilot. But as things stand now she's still just a dog in service to the ones holding her chains. But all that is about to change.
