everytime there has to be something the mortifies me. previous examples: the spoken word thing that GOES ON FOREVER before I Knew You Were Trouble, the part in LWYMMD when she’s like “i’m sorry the old taylor can’t come to the phone right now......SHE’S DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!”, those weird title cards on the Out of the Woods video where it’s like “she lost him....but found... everything.” (okay i don’t remember precisely but it’s weird)
and now with the french part at the beginning for no reason and the “spelling is fun!”
like, i know a lot of people find her to be naturally endearing, but i am not one of those people, so lots of what she does feels forced and weird to me. especially when she tries to be “funny”.
anyway, i’ll probably get the new song stuck in my head, but i wanted another Out of the Woods or New Years Day, and this is like, not as good Shake it Off.
