Joan, who didn’t want Jane to know about those feelings, nor did she want hundreds of strangers to know, either, is absolutely mortified and humiliated. some of the more cruel people who saw it begin to taunt her over social media to the point where she just deletes every app so she won’t have to see the embarrassing pictures/posts she’s tagged in or the intrusive private messages. she can’t even look at Jane anymore.
