My April Fools' joke next year is going to be a version of this game with the COM battle system and the Days equipment system. Mark my words
Hey y'all, sorry for the silence; for anyone worried, I'm alive and doing just fine! I injured my back, and updating you all slipped out of my brain entirely.
There will be a full progress report by the end of the month, with a list of the estimated release date for, and major changes in, v0.3! I also own the KH games for PC now (it's justified I can use it for research. Probably), so I may do some sort of stream to get more in depth about what's to come.

I would never have noticed this if it weren't for making this game, but it's kind of fascinating how consistent Kingdom Hearts is with the premise of "books are the most powerful illusion magic there is."
Winnie the Pooh is a fictional world brought to life is the Book of Prophecies is capable of putting you in worlds that don't truly exist is Zexion's book is capable of reading what you hold dear is Namine's Sketchbook is capable of holding memories you cannot reclaim is Jiminy's notebook is on and on and on. What an interesting thing to be so consistently powerful.

Icon change on behalf of Ash, who died last month, and whose birthday would've been the 29th. He originally introduced me to Kingdom Hearts, and making up stories about our characters all the way back in elementary and middle school is the reason and inspiration for this whole project.

This is currently not possible because right now KHTTRPG is Just Microsoft Word Files, but after I learn how to use InDesign (ugh) and make the game Look Like A Game TM and sort out typos & grammar, I'm thinking about moving its location from Google Docs to itch.io.
This won't have any material difference on the game itself - it will still be free and this blog will still be the place I talk about & update on it - but it will mean that it's linked to my other works, so people can keep up with what I'm doing even when I take breaks to work on other games!
I'm also thinking about getting a Twitter? To reach a wider audience? But frankly Twitter intimidates me. So we'll, uh, see how that one goes.
