Eddie Munson, gotta be my favorite gender
*I SEE U W UR "MOSTLY USED THEY PRONOUNS" STABBY IS NB ARENT THEY?? >:OOO*
NOPE HAHA
Anyway, that's my monthly "time to talk about the community that I'm meant to be in and in solidarity with and shit but unfortunately I always felt alienated because they decided that me fitting the criteria is not enough and must adhere to other fun little rules that are getting made as we go along"
What's up?
Looks like I'm the only person still putting posts on this blog ;_; Hit me up if you wanna help out, have suggestions, tell me that the content/ amount of content is fine, or literally anything. I know y'all don't come here to hear me blather but I got a lot on my plate and it's difficult to run this without the help of the other mods.
If there is a mod reading this: what the heck man?
ok so i was gonna do this a little later but idk why not so im gonna go ahead and post a mod application for this blog!!
• your name and pronouns
• your gender (I’d prefer it be nonbinary just bc of this type of blog)
• why you want to be a mod!
• your email so I can add you
• a little about yourself!
• what your mod name would be! (for example I am mod hester)
I came out to my parents and it was the worst decision I've ever made
i'm asian - should i not be using the word bae? if the answer is no i completely understand. my family is japanese and when non-japanese people say things like "that's so kawaii!!" and "i'm such an otaku" it makes me really uncomfortable. i'm not educated on how cultural appropriation applies to other poc because people rarely discuss it, but i'll totally stop using the word if it's disrespectful.
You shouldn’t. Just because you’re Japanese doesn’t mean you can’t be racist, especially toward other groups you don’t belong to. E. Asia in general is pretty notorious for being hugely antiblack. Non-Japanese PoC can also be racist toward Japanese people, etc.
Basically the rule to follow is: if you’re not part of a group, you shouldn’t do the thing. This applies to subgroups. For example, trans people who aren’t trans feminine or trans women shouldn’t talk over trans women and trans feminine people. We’re part of the same general group, but not the subgroup.
thisisantiasianracism would probably be a good destination for you, there are a lot of more specific blogs that start with that (ex: thisisnotpilipinx). They accept asks from white people though, just in case that makes you uncomfortable.
