- save your icons , graphics ( even screencaps or art files ) somewhere else. either on a portable hardrive, usb stick or some image collection service ( like dropbox or onedrive , some secure cloud-like service. ) - - i save my icons and uploaded them to tumblr...but.. uhn... the filter system keeps false-flagging innocent icons as explicit for some reason....? so i wouldn’t suggest that. 

save your bookmarks , in chrome just bookmarks manager > drop down menu and export bookmarks. unless you sync all your junk with those profile things... also. 

save you logins for tumblr as different ‘ person ‘ profiles. but also write down your email and pass somehow. ( just don’t like... do this... on a file on your computer cause... no.  ) 

attempt to save you install files for programs, make sure you have written down any kind of codes or keys you’ll need to reinstall them with your subscription. ( image burn kinda works but uhn... photoshop file will /not/ really work. and also, you gotta know a tech person who preferably doesn’t treat you like a dumbass...like my brother does.) 

there’s that one website that supposedly has installs of all the ‘ useful ‘ programs that you’ll use... but i dunno about recommending them since i feel like i might’ve gotten a virus from one of those program installers?

GET.... anti-virus and also... don’t just open files from the internet without scanning them?

always try to buy things instead of torrents? in my stupid youth, i killed many a computer with anime episodes in subform because i was dumb and young. so full of life and stupidity. ( though, like... now you can... find websites to watch things ‘ ‘ safely ‘ ‘ with ad block. but you might get a virus anyway... ???? ) 

stay....out...of the ... registry and system programs. i know you /think/ you know what you’re unselecting but... probably not. don’t be me. don’t uninstall your audio files by accident. chdk seems to work sometimes but y’know.... it’s not going to save or fix everything. it seems more useful in times when you know anything about computers. 

BACK UP YOUR FILES! B A CK  UP  Y O U R  FI L E S !!!! BACK THEM UP!!!!  - sometimes you can find some way to back up the files so you can just put them back where you found them or so help you.

perhaps this is just me being an old person with terrible eyesight but...i have trouble telling what expression is on 65x65 psd icons? help.
