Hap Birth to the best UTAUloid in existence, at least for me. I have been the biggest fan of Ritsu since, well since his debut. While Ritsu was another Vipperloid, we all knew he was not a new Vocaloid lol. I was initially drawn to Ritsu’s voice and then the design when I first watched and listened to Eternal Force Blizzard.
Around this time I was still fairly new to the Vocaloid Fandom, not even part of it for a year. At the time, most of the only UTAUloids I knew were Teto and Defoko. Ritsu brought me into a fandom I never even knew existed and never knew how diverse and huge it was. Ritsu was not an instant favorite, however, as I will still mostly drawn to the original Vocaloids and Teto. Once I created my own UTAU, however, I started listening to more and more UTAU covers, hoping to make one for my own UTAU.
Then, I heard Jitter Doll. Around this time, I was well into the Vocaloid and UTAU fandom. But never, never has an UTAU captured my heart with one song so quickly. I had not heard much of Ritsu other than EFB, and this was such a change from his initial debut. I started doing more research on Ritsu and grew more and more in love. And I was inspired.
I was in college when my Ritsu favoritism went full force. I was struggling with having a balanced social, school, and personal life. Some of my friends eventually introduced me to Tumblr, and my first video was, sadly, not a Ritsu video but a Lilly one lol. But then....I discovered ask blogs. And I saw just how MASSIVE the Vocaloid and UTAUloid fandom was. And I wanted in. So, I made my Ritsu blog.
You guys have been so kind, so welcoming, and so sweet since I joined. There have been some bumps, but that’s the internet for you...
I have struggled a long time with anxiety and Ritsu was my escape. I had a point though when I lost my passion and started making something I love a chore, and it scared me. It terrified me that I may lose something I loved so much. So I took some time off. But Ritsu was always something I adored and loved and I always found myself drawn back, over and over again.
I want this place to be something I love. And I do love it. And I want people to love something as much I love this fandom. Vocaloid, UTAUloid, Ritsu introduced me to so many lovely people. SO yes, happy anniversary/birthday to the best UTAUloid I have discovered. ANd I hope to stay in this fandom for another 10 years.
Thank you for sharing this community with me.
