Ok, so. It's come to my attention that there's a new scam/hacking issue going on, and since there's not a whole lot I could do to help resolve it myself, I just wanted to make a post about it to make sure that everyone's informed
On one of my other blogs, I was looking through my notifications. There was an ask that was supposedly sent to me by @/nyanchio, but when I clicked on it, it turned anonymous
I sent nyanchio a message and asked them what the deal was, because it confused me. They told me that they were hacked, and these sorts of messages are going out to random people now
They are NOT actively doing this themselves. If you receive an ask like the one above from them, from an anon, or from anyone else, just delete it. DO NOT click the link, or else you may get hacked as well
Edit: adding this bit to clarify that from nyanchio's end of things, the issue has been resolved. There shouldn't be anymore of these asks sent from their account, but that doesn't mean that someone else's account can't start sending them next. The internet is an amazing place sometimes, but it can also be super risky and even potentially dangerous, so if you're sent a link by someone you don't know, NEVER click on it
