it’s a bright day, a pretty day. not the day for this. not a day for me who preferred nights and scary dark areas to days and pretty places. it’s out of character and out of need for me to write letters to you, it’s always you makes the first step, always you who puts your feet in even though you know i am probably going to stomp it out. funny right? i push and push and you pull and pull and we’re stuck in this scary sort of limbo neither of us can escape. i need you to know this, will. i need to tell you this and i need you to hear it from me before you hear it from anyone else. it’s summer and my heart belongs to you, it’s autumn and my heart belongs to you, it’s winter and my heart still belongs to you because the truth is―the truth is that i goddamn love you so much.
Will Dehaan likes to think he’s the easy-going guy. The peacemaker. The one who cleans up after everyone. He likes being the reliable dude, the boy everyone trusts to do the right thing.
Only, he isn’t sure what he’s doing anymore.
Clair is a pretty town. New place. New people. New beginnings too, according to his parents. But too many messy endings and too many memories weigh him down like a sack of brick on his back. The only thing he is good at is reading people, thinking and guessing what they might do next. And for some reason, he can’t even seem to do that anymore.
At least he couldn’t.
Enter Noor Van der Steen. Two weeks after school officially began. With her entire hair dyed yellow. Noor is the perfect subject for a person like him to observe: naturally fake humor and tension jutting up every muscle at the slightest notion of being touched. It’s just that there’s a thin line that starts to blur when you spend too much time looking at someone.
A thin line between platonic interest and something much, much more scarier.
Something he isn’t ready to accept just yet.

I wanna rewatch justice league unlimited bc it has a plot, but my brain won't let me do it unless I watch the entirety of justice league first
Idk about u guys, but I'll always have a lot of compassion and sympathy for characters of color. I'm never critiquing them to the same extent that I'm critiquing white characters bc I've been on here a long time and as such I've seen a looot of white male characters get away with some very unsavory stuff that characters of color would be and are crucified for. So when I look at a character of color, I still judge them by the same merits, but I think context (are there any writers of color on this project? What are their motivations for their actions? Would a white character be treated differently by the narrative given the same circumstances?).
It's always about the context.
I only have two examples on hand for this, but I love how whenever two Martians fight it's gotta be a whole Shape-shifting brawl
Okay so I'm watching doom patrol and I'm already liking this silas a lot more than jlw silas!! But that happens with a lot of super hero characters tbh
