Something I love is that the Duffer Brothers did not even hint at Jonathan and Nancy’s arcs being about the love triangle. They hinted that it’s not resolved, but they’ve mainly talked about that they wanted to see more of them in the last season. Saying that s5 will wrap up their arcs plus a few other characters, and said they wanted to bring back the season one dynamics which then just saying Nancy and Jonathan as a duo. It gives me the vibe that the love triangle is not their big conflict for their relationship in s5. That’s why I don’t really have any jancy doubt. They’ve given us no reason to have any. The promotion for season five has been about Jancy, not Jancy/Steve. If the love triangle was really going to be a big thing, then it would be shown and promoted as that. I know some people think it would be a big secret, but we seen how season four ended and they didn’t hide that Steve still has feelings for Nancy. So, no, they wouldn’t be treating it like a shocking twist lmao.
