posting abt my cursed (affectionate) rouxls kaard/warden fankid bc like all of my joke ocs, i’ve become unironically attached to him. his name’s kardhaus
- he’s got the warden’s inventiveness, rouxls kaard’s tendency to comically and monumentally fail whatever task he’s been assigned, and the batshit energy and overinflated ego of both. the result is an overconfident, ridiculously loud/energetic little man who thinks he can build innovative new methods of containing prisoners. he can’t, he’s basically that video of a guy narrating how a rhino calf can’t possibly escape the cage he’s built as the calf escapes in the background.
- he’s not restricted to the dark world and can hold his form in the light world because he’s not a full darker; he’s half darkner, 25% human, and 25% whatever the warden is.
- he can shapeshift, but much like the warden he almost never uses it for anything remotely practical. thus far he hasn’t developed any rouxls-adjacent magical abilities, which is probably just as well because there’s not much he could do w rouxls’ powers that he couldn’t do w the warden’s abilities (which. does not do good things to rouxls’ self confidence)
- if i had to describe his speech pattern, i’d call it “just watch any of andrew russo’s videos w his ‘timmy’ character”. it’s less flowery than rouxls’, but still loud and unnecessarily over-the-top (and usually accentuated by him shapeshifting, resulting in An Experience for ppl holding a conversation with him).
- he collects bugs/keeps them as pets, and he’s extra fond of dangerous ones (ie. spiders, centipedes, wasps, just to name a few). unfortunately, he can’t get them to stay in their enclosure to save his life (or the inmates’ lives).
