20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
20- i'm strangely really good at studies from real life, ie i can look at something in front of me and if its not moving draw it pretty accurately, it's very medatative for me. so 'realism' in that way i guess? i'm nowhere near as good from photos lol. i don't really 'absorb' what i draw either way, i just kinda turn my brain off so it's not very helpful for actually learning/improving... I also really like doing style matching, used to do a lot of fake screenshots/panels/edits for various media i liked and it would always make me kinda proud when i could confuse people on wether it was official or not LOL. i know i could probably do the same for TOL but it feels kinda scummy seeing as it's just one person's project, I don't want to be confused with the creator/muddy what people think is actually Official. ik @classic-jamie already gets mistaken for the author sometimes, and her art isn't even the same 'style' as the official...
21- umm well i don't like pinning myself down to havng 'a style', the way i draw on here & generally is really just usually what's 'fastest' because if i think too hard about my art i end up really disliking it & i've been having alot of issues getting in the wayy of being able to Sit Down And Draw of late... i think pretty much any 'style' of art has its own merit but personally i really like low poly 3D art, watercolour/painting, limited palette w/ thin linework (kinda woodblock print or vintage book/magazine illust-ish) look, and ofc a good classic black and white ink comic... i can appreciate pretty much any 'art style'...... apart from illust/2d visuals, sculptures & most audio stuff are stuff i really love (only exception is when things are too loud/harsh i just physically cannot handle it lol). i have a lot of appreciation for mixers/audio engineers. A few artists on tumblr i loove are @teomodo , @thetidemice @mr-foods and @shittishittibangbang , they have such nice loose expressive art and compositions that are just so much FUN to look at.... i'd love to be able to make art in a similar vein someday! I also really love old eastern european stop motion stuff. & i'm sure there's so much more i just haven't discovered yet ^_^
25- hmmm... i honestly cant think of much cause not enough ppl really look at my art in general to make comparisons LOL... i think i wear my inspirations pretty on my sleeve ? But i guess sometimes ppl will compare it to cartoons i've never seen, i didn't have cable growing up so didn't see most cartoon network/nickelodeon/disney channel/whatever & i would get local public channels... when i used to draw with a lot more focus on intentional tangent lines (i was really like... rebellious? isn't the right word. i guess kind of spiteful? very 'they say tangent lines are bad but i think the system is WRONG!') people would compare it to that sorta y2k cartoon style and it would piss me off because i was actually inspired a lot by the sercret of kells/hungarian folktales... i'd like to think im more mature now hah & that i recognise its all interconnected stylistically so i don't really care anymore
