I saw this ask by @not-a-fruit to @naffeclipse and it made me chuckle so I was kinda waiting for someone to make the art but to my knowledge no one has made the art and it occurred to me that I could maybe attempt to make the art so here is the art. Please forgive my mediocrity.

Ive had thought thought for a while and i thought you would find it funny.

If y/n started to play music (just for fun while doing chores or smth) and "Monster" by lady gaga started playing, lyrics being

and the boys just: 🧍‍♂️ "he did what now? who is this HE???"

hey, i have a question.

What if a human did agree to be fed upon but decided "sorry, we run on a schedule here" and threw that at sun & moon. would they accept it (a reasonable schedule ofc) or would they find it bothersome? (asking because i like the concept but i am wondering about boundaries. boundaries are cool)

If they agreed that make it alot easier and the encounter less stressful so that be fine.

They'd still trance them, so the person doesn't really feel the pain of the bite, and erase their memories about their encounter.

They belive its best if, whoever is their prey for the night, doesn't remember. For their own safety (of staying anonymous) and for the human to have less of a chance of experiencing lasting trauma

This is going to be so odd, so pardon this. I haven't read the newest chapters quite yet. However i had this thought.

Y/n does murder cryptics, clearly. and does take a picture of those cryptic. but i haven't seen any overbearing "disrespect". that being kicking the carcass. Shooting the body again after its death. etc.

Now, where i was going with this! I can genuinely see y/n getting pissed at the notion of other hunters disrespecting a dead cryptics body. Or not disposing of it. i know y/n doesn't do much with the body of the cryptics, kinda leaves it there. but i mean purposefully moving the body where it well not gain use for other animals or return to the earth properly. Just unnecessary disrespectful actions. And y/n expressing that sympathy towards sun/moon how horrible that treatment and the boys finding y/ns moral to the dead admirable.

Follow up - Can you use a cryptics body? Treating this like a genuine hunt (deer, rabbit, etc. where waste is frowned upon) can you use parts of a cryptic for food, for its pelt, teeth or any part of its bones. Or is it because of their unnatural appearance make that risky? make them almost poisonous or unpleasant to consume, skin, reuse, etc. And if y/n has tried not being wasteful to a cryptic they had killed in the past and tried putting its death to further use.

Oh dang, this is a great question! Leaving a cryptid's body behind isn't viewed as wasteful, rather, it's just viewed as too dirty to use any part of it. A cryptid is something so wrong and horrible that no one really has the desire/appetite to use it for food or keep any part of it. It's just that taboo and revolting by nature. So, technically, you could use a cryptid's body and not allow it to go to waste, however, no one wants to. I would imagine eating such unholy flesh would not bod well with a human's stomach as it might carry with it curses or poisons that would corrupt a person's spirituality or rot them from the inside out.

Y/N has never tried to use a cryptid's body for anything. They've always just left the cryptid where they killed them.

What if there was another cryptic like sun and moon? would they simply understand its nature better or would they attempt to sly it?

Oh, and would y/n ever decide, "hey, should i do a deep clean"/"rewiring for you? aren't some internal parts injured or broken?" and give sun and moon an non-existent-heart attack?

They wouldn't understand it at all, they'd still try to kill it because any cryptid is violent and deadly and needs to be stopped before it kills people.

AHHAHA funny you mention Y/N checking in on Sun/Moon's internal workings. We'll see that soon :)

nifty little fact! when listening to a song you enjoy, your heart rate picks up, including when listening to a song with a heavy beat. the heart tries to copy the rhythm of the beat to the best of its ablity

Understandably, Sun/Moon have heard y/ns heart rate shift from specific circumstances, i find it funny if they were at first perplexed by y/n willing causing their heart rate to shift by listening to a favorite song or something.

(little addon) I noted you said not many if any other cryptics are friendly in a past ask. However i wanted to ask if there was a reason as to why? why are no other cryptics willing to be friendly/passive? Is it just behavioural? learnt? A natural response because of other cryptics? Including if there are any other cryptics in y/ns past that could have started y/n to have that old passion for them (any other positive interaction that lured y/n into such a love for cryptics. before the incident).

+i want to do something with y/ns past with another friendly cryptics so bad you have no idea

Wait, I think we had a discussion about this before! I think your heart doesn't really change with the beat, but it can get relaxed when listening to your favorite music! but also idk I never went to medical school lol

Sun/Moon do notice Y/N's heart change to music! Y/N might get excited and dance to a fast pace song and get their heart really going, which is such a treat for Sun/Moon to watch, but they will most certainly be tugged by the hands to join in the party with Y/N!

As for the lack of friendly cryptids, it's simply what they are in this world. Cryptids are terrifying and monstrous and deadly. They are violent and target humans to torture and kill. It's simply their nature.

Y/N was always interested in the supernatural and cryptids! Not one specific cryptid spurred on their admiration, it's just something they were naturally drawn to!
