Some RoyXEd Fluff (for lack of better name)
Roy sat at his desk with his usual smug smile on his face. Everyone else had left the office on his "generous" suggestion that they go home early, so when Ed finally got here, the two of them would be completely alone. He'd called the Fullmetal Alchemist to him under the pretext of the possibility of having useful information for him. Perhaps he shouldn't have hinted that he might be able to tell the younger man something more about the philosopher's stone, but it was the most surefire way to get Ed to come to him as soon as possible.
The dishonesty of his plan really didn't bother him. It rarely did. In this case, though, it was to speak to Ed honestly about something he'd been mulling over for a while now, so in the rare even that his conscious did decide to bother him about his deceit, the colonel would be able to tell himself that it balanced out.
Finally, he heard a familiar impatient knock on the door right before it was thrown open. Roy's smirk widened when he saw Edward Elric framed in the doorway. "I'd invite you to come in, Fullmetal, but as usual, you seem to have decided to take it upon yourself to burst through the door whenever you see fit."
