Steele watched the youngster step out from the travel facility, a quick scan of Maya’s physique painted a picture of just what she had endured today. The former-commandant knew all too well.

A dramatic eye roll –of course Lilith would react like that. Steele asking if her name was correct felt like an insult, yet Lilith attempted to brush it off quick enough. The Siren could recover fast, particularly with the knowledge that her cause brought the albino woman her defeat. Ah, sweet sweet victory. It was disappointing to hear Steele admit her knowledge of Siren lore was limited, perhaps even more than her own. The travel to Pandora was worth nothing, if vault hunting had never caught her attention, she had wasted her time looking to make peace with the other woman. Yet perhaps that could be a sign for both of them to join forces for a similar goal, and learn as much as both could from their powers.

It would all depend on Pierce’s authorization, however. She would want to keep Steele close, yet not give her enough freedom –a way to make her pay for what Atlas did to the people living in new Haven.

Her defeat was a SLAP of reality, perhaps death on the Vault’s doorstep would of saved her the shame or perhaps the realization of the damage she’s brought for simply delving into the unknown-- and for  what? Some... monster.

Nothing made the women of ice shudder but the thought of those tentacles certainly did.

I think a headcanon for sirens is that they’re each born with a unique song or maybe they all know the very same which defines their voice ability. Every siren has a beautiful voice than actually be as deadly as their abilities.

Whether used to entice enemies into attack their own or anything else to bend them to their very will.

Steele would often hum this song although she doesn’t know where it even came from and has learned how important it is to her Siren heritage.
