Well now I need more context. “Geralt Dicks Down In Pemberly Lake”???
I have brought this on myself.
So basically, a few years ago, for SOME reason, I thought it would be HILARIOUS to write a The Witcher/Pride and Prejudice crossover fic.
But instead of just. Putting the Witcher characters in a P&P situation or doing a romance, I figured: hey. Let's do an ADVENTURE.
So the basic plot is it's like five years after the events of Pride and Prejudice. Lizzie is in Pemberly getting ready for an annual ball, where everyone is going to be coming, and she hopes for Georgiana, Darcy's younger sister, to become engaged.
Only problem is, people keep dying. Violently. It looks like animal attacks but worse. Planned. Unnatural.
So Darcy casually mentions that when he studied at Oxford he saw something similar, and came across a man who may be able to help. And he's arriving tomorrow.
It's Geralt of Rivia. How does Regency England intersect with the Continent and world of fantasy? Don't worry about it, it's fine.
So Geralt rocks up with Jaskier, Yenn, and Ciri in tow because i said so, and they... investigate. They have something like three days till the ball and gradually more and more pride and prejudice characters arrive, upping the stakes.
OH and also Mary Bennet has secretly been a demon hunter this whole time and is badass and i love her.
That's it, that's the plot.
For the game: CTB, 17?
17) What was the hardest scene to write?
A lot of CTB is not easy to write, especially the really violent scenes with Link and the engineer. More and more of the story is getting harder to write as I struggle to balance reader expectation and a satisfying ending.
That being said, the scene in chapter 14 where the engineer tried to run away and Link strings him up on the tree was emotionally distressing for me to write. Something about it struck a chord in me that shocked me to my bones.
I got a talking to about being nicer to people not wearing masks (when it is a state mandate where I am) and when I didn’t just sit there quietly and take it... it has turned into a week long cluster fuck of a lecture involving three store managers and my DM.
My main piece for @not-freyja and my Reverse Bang fic, The Gravity of Never Letting Go
After George dies and the Kelvin is destroyed, Winona is left out in the black with a newborn and a choice: go home, or run away from her problems. The consequence for her decision go beyond anything she could have imagined.
Accustomed to slightly lower then natural gravity aboard Federation vessels, an extended stay on Earth is a death sentence for Jim. But he’s not going to let that stop him.
It is an awesome fic about perseverance and overcoming adversity with the help from the people who love you.
Check back in on Friday 6/7 for two more pics from this series, and check out @not-freyja‘s fabulous writing!! :)

Jim Kirk has loved Spock and pined after him throughout the entirety of their five-year mission. He thought, hoped and dared to believe that today, the day of their wedding, would be the happiest day of his life. But there's just one problem. Well, two problems. Okay, maybe three. Spock doesn't love Jim in return, the marriage is a sham, and now — as their wedding guests grow impatient and Jim's hope fades — Spock has gone missing.
Facing down a ticking clock, Starfleet's scrutiny, and profound misconceptions about each other's intentions, Jim and Spock had nine days to decide if the lie was worth it to keep Spock on the Enterprise. Now, it seems Spock has made that decision.
Here it is! At long last! My piece for the @startrekreversebang, inspired by some AMAZING art by @spockt, who has made even MORE amazing art to go with it! Thank you, Ness, you wonderful human being!! Working with you was an absolute joy, and I hope we get to do it again someday!! <3
And special thanks to @not-freyja for being an awesome beta! You rock!!
In addition to having had the opportunity to work with such a cool and talented artist, I am beyond thrilled to have finally had the opportunity and inspiration to write my favorite trope: FAKE MARRIAGE. I hope y'all enjoy reading it half as much as I enjoyed writing it!
It’s your birthday!?!? HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎁
