Hi! So, I finished Steins;Gate + movie 2 days ago, found myself shipping Okabe and Makise like you wouldn't believe, and immediately went hunting for fic. There uh, doesn't seem to be too much, unfortunately, but I found yours recommended... everywhere, actually. And for good reason! You're excellent! And so I came here to find the mind behind, and you seem really cool! So hey thanks for the fic and nice to meet (?) you!
Wow this is such a nice thing to see in my inbox! (People are recommending it??) It’s funny cause I was actually just looking at Okabe/Kurisu fic yesterday and mourning just how little there is haha. Part of my desire to write it was actually because after finishing the series, I was sad the fandom was so small and had to get something out of my system for these nerds. I’ve wanted to revisit another shippy plot idea I’ve had for them but time, unfortunately...
It’s cool you enjoyed The Variable so much to look up my tumblr lol but I’m sorry I don’t have more S;G fic of mine to be found here. I hope to write more for them in the future but it’s... okay, I have a thousand excuses. I know I should just do it. One day I will. You and @ahlistenalison (who beta’d my fic) can bully me over it later.
But if you’re looking for more S;G fic, I highly recommend Decimal Points (Okabe/Kurisu), Celebration of Prismatic Refractions (though the only romantic bits are in Chapter 4, it’s still very good friend/relationship fic all around), and Land Mines (again not really shippy, but it deals with Okabe’s PTSD going back to school and -- indirectly mentioned -- longing for Kurisu to reach out, also rec’d because pining is my weakness).
