The Panorama of the City of New York in the Queens Museum had been a favorite place of Elliot’s for a long time. As a kid it had just been a place that made sense. Everything was how it should be. Each building and street of the replica of his city was in its very own place. He could let his eyes follow the path he’d taken to get there. The path he took to school. To dad’s shop. To his favorite ice cream shop. Everything was where he knew it would be. The hypnotic mapping out had always been very calming for Elliot. The repetitiveness of seeking out something known. His mind made the street names appear in the air as he’d sort of zone out. This had always been Elliot’s spot, it was no wonder that Darlene found him there.
