Breaking And Entering || Mike & Jeremy
If he was in his right mind, Jeremy Fitzgerald would never had done something like this. He had poured his life into this company, given everything he possibly could. Hours, days, years had been dedicated to Fazbear’s, and the only thing returned was suffering.
The Bite of ‘87.
Nightmares had plague the former guard since that day. He had troubles with functioning, with living. An obsession grew from the day he left the hospital, an unhealthy one that brought his health down significantly. He couldn’t go a day without researching, without finding another detail that would shut down the company he once loved.
If he was in his right mind, he wouldn’t be here.
The elder man sat in his van, staring at the building that had been in his nightmares for too long. On his lap was a thick file, containing every scrap of information on Fazbear’s he ever found. Included was a folder about the newest employee, Mike Schmidt.
He wanted to help him. He wanted to save this boy. He wanted to prevent another bite.
Jeremy hid the file underneath the passenger’s seat before he slowly got out of the car, pulling his jacket on and hood up, shrouding the jagged scars on the left side of his face in darkness. Best not scare the kiddo with his appearance. He made his way to the front entrance, keeping note to avoid the security cameras. He pulled his lock-pick from his pocket, making quick work of the door and slipping in.
He crept down to the security office, using the darkness as a perfect cover.

I am sorry friend. Forgive me. Apologies if its on the pink side too. My monitor tends to mute shades of purple so I can’t always tell what color I’m working with.

{ ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ } – ❝ Hi, Mister Guard ! ❞
@not-an-enviable-shift
Mike loved the astral plane, if he was honest. It felt like his personal playground, as ghosts weren’t as numerous as one would think. He could walk around for a while and not see anyone, enjoying the sensation the plane gave him. Someone from the crew often went out with him, usually Drew, but today he was alone. He wandered the astral version of his natal town; and passing by where Freddy’s used to be, he felt a small wish to see what it had become.
However, something weird happened when he willed himself to go back into his mortal world. His surroundings... glitched, for lack of better terms. It flashed between how the area had been and older buildings, walls appearing around him. It took him only some seconds of this weird happening to feel his heart skip a beat as he recognized the security office.
It wasn’t the first time he accidentally crossed into another world, but it was the first time that he noticed in such ways. Maybe because usually the area he crossed in didn’t change that much between world, especially as he tended to cross into the forest outside town.
By the time Mike realized he should stop the process, it was too late. He stood fully in the security office, or to be precise under one of the door. He stared blankly at the man sitting in the chair, his mind supplying that unlike ghosts he would be visible for humans. His gaze snapped to the side as the sound of footsteps, and when he spotted a red muzzle as well as a hook rising, he acted out of instincts.
Mike stepped into the office, slamming his hand on the left door button. Foxy hit the door, but the brunet rolled in his azure eyes before turning back to the night guard. The young man offered a smile, scratching his cheek with a finger.
“Uh. Hello...?” He crossed his arms. “I... didn’t startle you, did I? Because I didn’t mean to, I swear. I just...” His eyes wandered around, stopping for a second on the phone. An idea popped into his mind, something to cover his tracks and sudden appearance. “Well. I... used to work here.”
Oh the irony. Mike was the only one alive in a group of ghostly friends; and he ended up pretending to be a ghost.
