But why are people automatically assuming the monster theme is dehumanizing toward Stein??? Literally nobody I know in the fandom would actually write something like that?? There are so many directions this theme could go? Smol ginger is confused.

Everyone is confused. This has been a troubling and confusing time for all parties involved.

Honestly, almost everyone I’ve seen that ships SteinMarie makes him such a sap (that goddamn dork. How I love him) so we would NEVER look at him as a monster and dehumanize him: the whole ship is trying to fight against that.

NO ONE would want to write a fic using ‘Monster’ in order to use Stein as their punching bag.
