Beau had just finished checking into the place for the Gala, got his room, settled, and was just laying in bed watching basic cable out of boredom while on his phone trying to crack the service to at least get some kind of premium, although Bruce would have said it was just covered, he wanted something to do. While digging around for a drink, he was ready to go and find some ice and left his room for the quest of frozen water to make his cola not room temperature. It was basic, mundane and like everything this afternoon had been and Beau was bored. Needed excitement, and that’s when he caught sight of Billy, and he just grinned because fun had arrived. “Well hello there,” he said, giving his best grin. “I see you had similar thoughts for pre-Gala good times,” he said, nodding to the ice machine. He hadn’t really thought about clothing, so in that moment he was just in a pair of shorts and nothing else.

Carroll wasn’t exactly sure who he’d find at this gala, but he had a pretty good idea he would run into quite a few familiar faces. The superhero community was closer knit than most would imagine; there are only so many type of super-person out there. You’re bound to run into the same people after a while.

And yet, he was surprised to see Wiccan milling about, unusually solo without his other half. “Kaplan! Wasn’t expecting to see you here tonight!” he enthuses, approaching his young protege. “Where’s Teddy? Weird to not see him at your side, especially at one of these things...”

Selim naturally caught eyes wherever he went, even if it was in the most mundane of places. He couldn’t even pick up some groceries without turning heads. A true blessing and a curse... but mostly a blessing.

But today, he couldn’t help but ignore having the attention of a sweet looking youngster, perhaps barely out of his teens --- possibly still in them. Selim knew he couldn’t leave this possible interaction alone.

“Do you know me, young man?” smirks Selim, sauntering over to his obvious admirer. “I can’t say I fraternize much with children, but you seem... nice. Nice boys are hard to find these days.”
