bare   feet   sank   into   the   fertile   earth,   toes   tickled   by   the   emerald   whips   of   grass.   it   was   here   she   thrived,   free   from   the   constricting   vices   of   shoes,   the   suffocation   of   corsets   &   the   constant   dotage   of   ladies   in   waiting.   the   queen   walked   a   little   ways   from   her   horse,   where   it   rested,   but   stared   after   her   with   a   keen   eye.   her   husband   raised   this   beast   well   …   as   it   was   just   as   concerned   for   her   as   he   was.   the   thought   made   a   flutter   of   laughter   rise   from   her   chest,   a   hand   brought   to   her   mouth.   still,   this   consideration   softened   her   to   the   king,   despite   certain   troubles.   seraphic   beauty   knelt,   long   skirts   brushing   the   ground   as   she   inspected   some   flowers   that   were   of   a   new   species.   their   colors   created   such   lovely   contrast   to   the   surroundings,   vivid   &   wildly   bright.   aurora   was   suddenly   overcome   with   the   desire   to   shower   her   newborn   twins   with   beautiful   things   like   this.   not   jewels   or   silver   &   gold   trinkets   but   gifts   from   the   elements   of   nature.   elegant   fingers   brushed   the   petals   softly,   only   to   jolt   slightly   as   she   saw   a   movement   from   inside   the   flower.   for   a   moment,   she   suspected   a   bee   to   which   she   would   move   away,   but   as   she   peered   inside   … 

a   mouse   was   resting   within.

Tom had been hearing something rustling outside. 

The house cat opened up the window and looked to his right.   ❝ …..… ❞

⸻and when his head finally cocked itself to the left, is when he spotted the little Eurasian harvest mouse outside in the front yard.

Now believe it or not, Tom really only ever gave into temptation when his stomach was actively hungry. But it was technically his job to keep mice out of Ginger’s house so Tom guessed it was time to play bouncer before he gets too emotionally attached to this new mouse.

Tom quickly ran his way to the front door and opened it, immediately looking down at the mouse judgingly and stomping his foot down hard on Cinnamon's tail to stop him from moving any further (obviously Tom's point was to make the mouse leave the house but not before scaring Cinnamon a bit). Tom didn’t care if the mouse seemed to be holding a tiny sword. Mice puncturing him with tiny weapons was called Tuesday for this cat. —He can handle anything Cinnamon can throw at him

“Oh, hello mister mouse.”  Bingo chirped to the tiny creature scuttling across her family’s back patio.  She had gotten down on all fours to watch Chip closely.
