@notauri i’m obsessed with how you phrased this i could not have hoped to say this better myself
@fogggy NO you’re totally right i just think it’s funny that he was supposed to be normal and yet he so isn’t so we’re all obsessed with him
@kindof-amess yeah and that’s definitely part of the reason he appeals so much. i usually don’t really love Protagonists tm bc so often they ARE kind of flat especially in games like aa where they’re the player character, but idk, phoenix’s story feels so much deeper and more compelling than usual and it makes him feel like more of a Character which is good imo
@notauri LITERALLY YEAH. also fksbfmfbdk my mom thought his name was ace too 😭
@lunstones yessss SO true. or it’s more like so much of his shit was revealed to the audience bc lbr his life was pretty crazy even before the first game
@notauri LITERALLY. like not only is Kristoph uh. Like That. but he’s also klavier’s older brother is he really the best candidate for this line
@notauri no it really is. like the only other time i can think of something like this happening is with farewell my turnabout when it turns out for the first time that your client is actually guilty but you have to defend him and try for a not guilty anyway. i LOVE when ace attorney goes for the complicated morals it honestly makes me fucking insane
@notauri LITERALLY like i wonder if it’s just bc klav is a rookie at this point? which would be kind of funny bc like. hello phoenix. you spent the whole first game getting called a rookie and kicking everyone’s ass so like. pot meet kettle.
@notauri YEAH they’re literally just agents of chaos and it’s fucking great
