Okay, I have absolutely, definitely, notgonnachangeitanymore, narrowed down my camera selection to two choices. In corner #1 we have the Panasonic Lumix G7. Superb camera, a1 for video with 4k recording abilities. I mean, the footage on this thing just from the camera itself, before even touching any type of editing, just great. And it still takes really great photos as well. The built-in mic isn't bad, but I'll probably get a mic anyway. I mean, this camera is just. Yeah. BUT, it's easily $200 more expensive than the camera I was originally looking at getting. Plus, I'd definitely have to upgrade my laptop for the 4k editing. But I have to upgrade that anyway. I definitely would be using the kit lens for a while. If I get the less expensive Olympus, I'll have to buy separate audio gear (no mic jack), which would mean more time spent editing (good practice on the bright side), no 4k :(, and still have to upgrade my laptop. But I'd have more moolah for accessories and maybe another lens. This camera works well for photography, video capabilities are okay but obviously weren't a focus in manufacturing. It's still a great camera though. High quality/high price? Or compromise that quality for more stuff?
