Apparently in Minecraft, you can craft blocks that make certain notes when they’re hit, and by stacking them a certain way and rigging up redstone to detonate and automate the hitting, you can play songs.

wynncraft songs - ocean-ish theme; (these are not done.)
1: battlescars; was thinking of ice nations with this one, so cold and desolate and kind of vigilant or somber. i'm afraid it might be a bit too simple or repetitive, so i might revise it later. this song would be played on a populated island that's seen a bloody history.
2: her body, the ocean; i'm pretty proud of this one. wanted to go for a sort of "crashing waves" feeling so there's a lot of building up to a big bang. i also really love the intro. this song would be played in the ocean.
3: holding your hand; this one is pretty meh. a bit lazy, made it in about an hour. supposed to feel happy, safe, and bright. this song would be played in a town, or maybe a forest.
4: longing to be; the most recent one i've made. also pretty simple, but i like the feeling it gives me. the ocean in wynncraft has always made me feel a lot of ways, mostly like i'm exploring, but also like i'm alone, so this track (and the other ocean one) is me trying to express that. this song would be played in the ocean.
5: kraken!; if wynncraft ever had an ocean expansion, i think it'd be really cool to see a massive ocean creature as a boss. a kraken is the first thing that came to mind, but a megalodon shark or giant eel would be cool too. if i'm being entirely honest i rushed to make this song because i thought of the bass line that i really liked, but i couldn't really come up with anything else solid. so i'll definitely come back to this one some other time. this song would be played during a boss fight.
while i love the new instruments in wynncraft, i feel like the old noteblocks are able to convey some unique emotions that the new ones can't (or at least haven't been attempted with them). i do wish that some new tracks using just these instruments are introduced at some point. though i also really love a lot of the new songs. status is probably one of my new favorites.
please feel free to leave feedback or any opinions. would like to see what people think of these. also i've never uploaded audio on tumblr so i have no idea if any of these will even work lol.
