"Hey. Wake up."
There's a heavy pressure on his abdomen, the sort of push down that causes just enough discomfort. A pounding in his head paired with an ache that seems to be emnating from his lungs. He breathes in once and the sharp pain causes him to gasp and groan.
"I said, wake up! Pathetic lowblood..." A voice hisses from somewhere above him- Close by, from what he can tell. He grits his teeth in annoyance; he's used to the lowblooded treatment, but that doesn't mean he's alright with it. Slowly, his eyes crack open and he's startled by the appearance of another troll straddling his waist.
An aquatic troll, to be exact.
"Calm down." The voice has lost it's harsh tone, becoming calm and soft. A hand traces over his collarbone and throat to rest against his cheek. "I'm not here to hurt you. After all, you are already dead. Not much I can do anyway, really."
The hand is cold, like ice itself, and a shiver moves down the yellowblood's spine. The tyrianblood smiles lightly and withdraws, rolling off of the other to seat himself beside the other. The yellowblood lifts his mismatched eyes now to look up- Their surroundings are completely white, a long shadow cast on the wall behind the tyrianblood sitting beside him. The shadow itself lurks almost like a monster, some sort of creature, demon, he can't tell and he's afraid to look at it.
Twinglare forces himself to sit up and inhales sharply before he can manage to spit out, "Who the fuck are you?" The tyrianblood clicks his tongue in response, very clearly not amused by that. The deep color in his eyes flashes multiple colors that are hard to keep track of before it seems to decide that it's natural color is better. The aquatic troll blinks once before a grin splits his lips and he lifts one hand to point at himself.
"My name is Sollian. I'm the Emperor." He laughs, almost musically, afterward. Twinglare grits his teeth slightly.
"There ithn't an Emperor. There'th an Empreth." He answers, and Sollian's grin doesn't fade. "Maybe in your timeline. But I've been in charge for sweeps in mine." He reaches forward again, fingers tracing over the yellowblood's jawline again. Twinglare hisses and shivers, scooting back slightly. But the distance doesn't seem to change at all, Sollian still sits close to him with that same fang-revealing grin.
"What's the matter, Rogue? Scared now?" He purrs, leaning forward slightly. "I'm just the messenger, pet, I'm not capable or allowed to hurt you." His grin turns into a pout and Sollian shifts backwards, hands settling in his lap.
For a moment, Twinglare sits stock still, staring blankly at the aquatic troll as he seems to deflate before him. His regal look turns sad and then just plainly pathetic. "You don't look like you want to be involved in thith." The yellowblood mutters and it returns quickly. "Shut up, lowblood! Like you'd know, you're pathetic and useless, you wouldn't know how I-"
His voice cuts off as if someone flicked a switch and for a second he chokes, gasping for air. Twinglare flinches and moves back quickly, watching as the other doubles over and gags before recovering moments later. Sollian breathes shakily and then clears his throat, narrowing his eyes.
"I am here on behalf of my Masters, Rogue. Here to tell you that you are dead... For good. There's no escaping this one." That slight grin curls his lips again, but this time it's easy to tell it's faked. "A slave to aquatic trolls all your life, and you met your end by the water itself. How pleasant, isn't it?"
The yellowblood stares blankly for a moment before a salty taste floods his mouth and he coughs to clear his throat, only to find that it won't. Breathing becomes hard and ragged before it just... stops. He's startled for a moment, pressing a hand to his chest. The rush of air through his lungs is clear as wind in his ears, but he doesn't feel it.
A lump forms in his throat and he can't swallow past it.
Sollian stands before him and smiles down at the yellowblood. "Mostly, I'm just here to wish you good night." The monster shadow behind him grows bigger, more terrifying, like a life of it's own. "You deserve it. You know that, right?" His fins flare and his smile is genuinely happy, the sort of thing you offer a friend or a lover, but it's icy cold. Twinglare doesn't feel a thing, staring up at that face.
Something seems to wrap around him, emnating from the shadow, and the air he clutched in his lungs is exhaled in a breath like bubbles beneath the water. He feels himself sink and watches the form of the aquatic troll fade into blackness. The white around him turns blue, then navy, then black.
He closes his eyes as he feels himself being pulled further downwards, thinking that maybe he should cry. Struggle. Scream for help. Nothing comes to mind and he lies still in the grip of whatever is holding him. The pressure grows intense... and then merely fades.
He tries to muster a reaction, but nothing comes.
There's no point to it. No point in fighting.
His lips curl into a slight smile, that twists into a smirk.
About damn time.
