Joy was, well... Joy was excited. In part because of the fact that she got to help out people and make new friends which was, you know, a very big deal for one Joy Edna Hart, but also (and this was a big also) because she got to spend her time with PUPPIES! And there was nothing better than spending time with puppies, let’s be honest.
Joy had arranged to help Cullen pick out a puppy sometime this weekend, and had texted him earlier in the day to say that she could meet him at the animal shelter around four.
And, well, that brings us to the present time, doesn’t it?
She rocked back and forth on the heels of her boots for a moment (her three-inch heeled boots, mind you, because she’ll do whatever it takes to be a little taller), peering around until she saw him coming into focus. Her smile lit up immediately, lifting her hand into a wave and making her way toward him.
“Cullen, hi! You made it!!”
