Zimbits, 27 ♡♡
“Lord. Can we go someplace high so I can just jump off it?” Bitty rubbed his face. He was so sick of hearing about the field trip. Nothing. Happened.
Jack looked up from his mug of coffee. They’d met at The Grateful Bean to discuss the situation, how to deal with the rumors and get it under control. Of course, administration hadn’t said anything to them, yet, but – well, Bitty’d heard a couple things in the weight room he just didn’t really care for.
“It isn’t that bad,” Jack said.
“Isn’t it?”
Jack shrugged one broad shoulder. “I don’t think so.”
Bitty let out a soft sigh. “Look,” he said, after a moment. “I don’t know what things are like up in, um. In Canada. But – it’s just, I don’t want – I mean, I don’t know if you’re, y’know.” Gay. He waved a hand. “And it’s fine, like. If you are. I’m – I’m not, um. I haven’t discussed this with anyone, but –”
“Bittle,” said Jack, cutting him off. “I like you. And I don’t care about the rumors. They’re meaningless. But if you find it upsetting, that’s understandable. I don’t want the kids talking about us.”
“No, I –” Bitty swallowed. He pitched his voice just a little lower, kept it quiet. “I like you, too.” A lot.
“Then we’ll be discreet,” said Jack, “and it’ll die down. Yeah?”
Bitty chewed his lower lip. “Will it?” he asked.
“I’m sure it will,” Jack said.
