notes app poems are so...intimate? like there's no pressure to be good, no seeking validation. just little wisps of my emotions and observations among grocery lists. poems that are just for me. i love it

I could kiss you through the smoke.
I'd close my eyes and send it out.
I didnt have to know where you were because we were in love and I could just feel you, somewhere, wherever.
I could have touched the love I had for you with my hands and put it right into your lap. It was soft and warm and light and felt like you'd imagine a cloud feeling when you were little and sitting in the park with your mom, laying in the grass, looking up. you'd say "I bet they feel like cotton candy!" and it would. my love would and it did. I'm sure of it, that if i could have reached inside of my chest and pulled it out and handed it to you it would felt like cotton candy. it would have been just as sweet, too. and I loved you and I knew it. I had never been so sure of anything.
