It would have been a completely average night- discuss the plan of attack briefly, execute, go back to the most current safe house, sort out the loot, maybe even hang out for a bit. It was an easy job with a few guys he’s worked with before. And then Patty showed up. One of the guys grinned and explained that she was a dirty cop and this was an easy job so why not let her get something out of it. Barry knew better--knew her, but he was the flash tonight and she didn’t know who was under his mask. The balance he was working with was natural to him by now. Each group thought he was loyal, and in a way he was, but not how they thought. Most of the people he worked with at night thought he was a double agent(only half true); more loyal to this cause than to the team at Star Labs. It’s a small portion of his inability to think of a thing to say to Patty now.
CONFUSION ETCHED along her features ;; this was unusual. usually she was recognized. but for some reason, this woman had no idea who she was. so she pointed to the symbol on her outfit, hoping she’d be able to ring a few bells.
“---- supergirl? superman’s cousin? man of steel? is any of this familiar? ”

Looping his arms around her waist, Barry tugged Patty into his arms. Pressing his lips to hers, he hummed quietly. “Hi, beautiful. I missed you. How was work?” He questioned. He was finding it harder and harder to differentiate between being Barry Allen and the Flash, criminal and Rogue.

Barry had made a lot of mistakes in his twenty-six years of existence. Some of which he wasn’t very proud of, many he would like to forget. Unfortunately for him that wasn’t possible, and so he would need to live with those regrets. The one he refused to live with... was losing Patty. It’s been weeks since it happened. Yet he couldn’t get her out of his mind.
It wasn’t hard to get there, the city she was in.When he told the blond that he was getting use to people he loved eventually leaving him. Part of it was true, but he also neglected the fact that each one-- he let them go.
As he finally spotted her a part of him remembered that article from the future. Of him, and Iris being married-- they were even married on Earth 2. Everything pointed to Iris, and he still loved her. Except there was one issue... Iris wasn’t Patty. And it was Patty he wanted to hold tight, it was Patty he wanted to kiss good night, it was Patty that haunted his thoughts whenever he’d see a happy couple.
He just--
He needed to at least try, even if she no longer wanted him. Barry needed to let her know; everything. This time he was going to fight for someone he loved, instead of stepping aside, and letting them walk out of his life.
“P...” come on, “Hey, Patty.”
