at 7:30 amtrak robocalled me that my noon train was canceled and made me listen to terrible hold music for ten minutes to change to the 5 pm (this was not possible to do on the website, which showed nothing wrong with the original reservation on pc and a missing outward journey with no option to fix anything on the mobile app)

at 8:30 they called again to cancel my 5 pm train and put me on the slower one leaving at 3:30, because the acela is electric and the regular northeast corridor train is diesel?

at 10:10 lather rinse repeat 3:30 slow train canceled

tl;dr i am not going to boston this fine wednesday

rebooked for tomorrow on the original noon service, crossed fingers they get this power issue sorted out today. to be clear they were very nice and i’m sure are doing the best they can
