Cause nothing can ever,
Ever replace you.
Nothing can make me feel like you do, yeah..
Musical Clues for PJM 1
So more photos with composers and producers in the past 24 hours but who are these guys and what does this mean in terms of the music that we will be hearing on Jimin's solo album.
First up, Gabriel Brandes tweeted this photo yesterday with the caption "So good meeting you Jimin".
He is described as a singer-songwriter. He won Swedish Idol in 2009 and was a member of boy band The United (5 guys from 5 European countries) active from 2011 to 2014. If the songs I checked out on You Tube are anything to go by they were infinitely forgettable.
in 2013, he did a solo cover of Nothing like Us which is available on You Tube. He has a decent voice but unfortunately for him Jungkook has made the definitive cover of that song and all other versions tend to pale into insignificance beside JK's version.
In the past few years he has been doing a lot of writing for KPOP groups including Stray Kids, SHINee, TXT and Seventeen.
He has a writing and arrangement credit for SHINee's Atlantis
He and Alex Karlsson have credits for TXT's Thursday's Child Has Far to Go which they sang at Lollapalooza in the summer
when JHope and Jimin watched their performance from the wings.
So he is a known quantity for Big Hit and has some kind of track record in Kpop. Nevertheless, I still wasn't sure what he could do for Jimin until I read that he, along with producers Matt Thomson and Max Lynedoch Graham (also pictured) have credits for Stay Alive. Now that is a class song. If we get something as good as that out of this collaboration I'd say it was worthwhile.
Matt Thomson and Max Lynedoch Graham are Arcades, a British electronic music production duo, who also have previous BTS credits. They co-wrote and produced Jamais Vu and Mikrokosmos from Map of the Soul: Persona and co-wrote Inner Child from Map of the Soul: 7.
Jimin and Jungkook are gorgeous in this video.
Alex Karlsson tweeted this picture with the caption, "You're awesome Jimin. So glad I got to meet you today".
He is a Swedish-American singer, songwriter and producer who has also worked with BTS and Gabriel Brandes before.
He has a credit for We are Bulletproof the Eternal which I had on repeat when I started listening to them last year. So that bodes well.
So it seems all of these songwriters and producers have previous connections with BTS and Big Hit and are probably seen as safe hands. But even after all this investigation, I still can't get a grip on the sound we are going to get from Jimin's solo album. Will it be R&B, hip hop, pop, ballad driven, electronic/synth. Or will it be all of these things in true Tailor of Chaos fashion.

What's better than a JB song in JK's voice?😏
" I'll be your man "
