Her hunger had gotten the better of her. What was supposed to be a pint of blood taken from the drunken stranger had turned into an entire drainage of the poor guy and as his body slid down to the ground with a soft ‘thump’, Indira let out a long, frustrated sigh. While she didn’t possess a DNA any longer for the police to track her down, she had developed a sense of morality over the last few centuries that made her feel guilty for killing someone: Artames would be annoyed at her too. She would bring the body back home to eat but that was too much of a hassle right now for her to do so.
“He was a waster anyway..” Trying to justify the killing by criticising the stranger’s drinking habits made her feel a bit better and as she nudged the tip of her boot at the lifeless body, she tugged a clean napkin from her pocket. Wiping the leftover blood that stained her lips, the female spun on her foot only to be greeted by the sight of someone standing at the end of the alley. Had they seen what happened?
