Furry Comics to me now fill the same space as I think newspaper strips would have filled older generations. Granted I'll never know but to see comics like Nothing Doing by HorseOnVHS or DOGHAUS by Annabelle Olendzki gives be the same satisfaction I realized I would get by reading the Garfield Comics my parents would give me back when we got newspapers from those canadian newspaper boxes that we still have around for some reason. This is an excellent development, especially considering comics like DOGHAUS actively go for that feel. I think that's probably why I like it so much.
