Sally and Maggie here, on behalf of Comics Workbook and 2dcloud, with the finale of the Gato Gif Challenge!

Ry Cooder the cat helped me (Sally) pick the winner of the random grand prize drawing - the results are below.

However, what we’ve all been waiting for is THE GIF! And here it is:

As you can see, the project (like Sarah Ferrick’s morphing cat-into-2dcloud logo) became much more than a simple gif. We received drawings from 67 cartoonists, and they were all so fantastic that we decided to USE THEM ALL! If you don’t see yours right away, keep watching - and here’s why:

Maggie employed the programming software Scratch to make the animation above, which cycles through all 85 of the submitted drawings of the 20 frames, mixing it up a different way each time. (View the looping animation on Scratch HERE and find out more about this programming software!) 

In the spirit of community collaboration and in celebration of the fully funded 2dcloud Winter Collection (hurray!!) we have decided that everyone who submitted a drawing to the project will receive a PDF of the book of their choice from the Winter Collection, or an issue of the Comics Workbook Magazine in PDF form. Participants, expect an email with details from us in the next day or so!

As for the results of the RANDOM DRAWING for the amazing grand prizes…drum roll please:
