Takh - Nothrog, Warlord CCG This was my first ‘albino’ nothrog. It was a real honor to get to do them, because they were the sorcerers and the power cards, and this one had a space on the play mat that gaming stores gave away for people to test the game before it officially came out. I never played the card games I have done images for, but I always tried to think about the players and what kind of image they would like to see when cracking open a fresh pack of cards or playing them as a part of their deck, and hoping they would be delighted to get another of my images. Sethusk - Nothrog, Warlord CCG The CCG game of Warlord has four groups: elves, nothrogs, dwarves, and humans. I did mostly elves and nothrogs. In animation, as a woman, I haven’t gotten to do a lot of action / adventure superhero stuff I would have liked to do (women still get pidgin-holed for preschool and comedy). So when the art director Jim Pinto asked me which groups I wanted to do, I jumped at the chance to do the evil elves and the Roman ogre-like nothrogs, Sethusk was my first and I loved doing this piece. Big, muscular, intelligent and sneaky; everything a wicked general should be. The painting is Chromacolor cel vinyl, Sakura Pigma Micron .01 & .005, Arches hot press watercolor paper 8.5 X11” image size 7x9”.
