I woke up this morning coughing and sneezing. My throat was scratchy too! I can't get sick because antibiotics really mess up my gut. (Not to mention I'm allergic to all the cheap ones!)
But seriously--who has time to be sick? Or better yet, who wants to be sick?!?
So here is my GO TO regimen when I feel the yuckies coming on. I start with a hot cup of ThroatCoat tea (or any kind will do) and add a couple of drops of Thieves and Vitality Lemon Essential Oils. If I happen to be congested, I add a single drop of peppermint to clear up the sinuses and then I can breathe again! I also diffuse Thieves and Eucalyptus at bedtime and maybe a couple of times during the day.
This routine has kept me from getting really sick so many times I can't even count them! Sometimes, like today, I felt just fine after that morning cup. I'll probably have another cup before bed too.
Thieves tastes like cinnamon and clove and acts like a natural antibiotic, killing those bad germs before they can set up shop. Lemon is a great purifier too and adds a nice zing to taste.
My family-who were all VERY skeptical of Essential Oils being beneficial for more than aromatherapy--now request "Mom's Tea" anytime they feel the yuckies creeping up.
