fireplace: one of your favorite stories, books, or poemsIt’s more of a short story, but “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury. I enjoy most of his short stories, and I actually started a collection of his books, but this story in particular is just really sad and emotional, and it really hits home for me. It’s hard for me to read it because of that, but it’s for that reason that I love it, you feel? sweater: a favorite comforting thoughtI know how to cook, man. Do you know how awesome that is?? If I ever feel bad or I’m at someone else’s house and they feel bad, I can totally make them something delicious. And, I can draw. I CAN DRAW. AND I’M A PRETTY BEAUTIFUL NONBINARY DUDE. MAN, I’M MORE AWESOME THAN I GIVE MYSELF CREDIT FOR. oak: something or someone that encourages strength in youcan I cheat and say you? Uhhh, sakanaction. There’s just so much I love about this wonderful band, man. It’s hard for me to find songs that are encouraging/uplifting and ace/aro-specific without being like “your’re beautiful because x person loves you”, but sakanaction totally nails it. Their music taught me that sometimes you can be be alone and beautiful, and reflect on the beautiful world around you at the same time. And whenever I’m down on myself I think about how the lead singer, Ichiro Yamaguchi, has the passion and the drive to continue both writing the music and singing it despite losing hearing on one of his ears without letting that get him down, because it shows he’s really serious and passionate about music and he believes in the band, simple as that, and I want to be like that, too, with the things I’m passionate about, I want to believe in myself and them, too.
