My first Couchtravelling Experience / End of the Hitchhike experience
..so many peeps asked, if i can write my next story in English, thats why i try to do it, not in the best way, but here is the final version, N-Joy :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a Hitchhiker and Couchsurfer you will meet a lot of people, people who help u in emergencies, people who talk with u, people with a story. Amazing people, extrovert people, all in all people who want to give something. Hauke is one part of this story, one part of my hitchhike experience from Munich to Lisbon.
Connecting by a sponatnious hangout via “Couchsurfing”, meeting at the beach in Valencia. Vamos! From Valencia to Allicante, pardon, a little Village near Allicante, Coveta Fuma, surrounded by many villas with pool, one of them was our Airbnb. Amazing! The town was quiet, but that doesn't matter. We had everything, a a full furnished flat with kitchen, a pool and a car. A car for road trips through this Area. Without navigation and discussions which way is the right way. There is no “right” way. Every way has its special views, its special buildings next to the street and its special character.
Next Day: Sierra Nevada. Huge mountains and a stunning view in fucking hot Spain. Landed in a village, no – more a big big family house system, without anything, our next Airbnb, out of a real civilization but into the beautiful nature of the Sierra Nevada. A great experience! During the road trip, we talked about everything, our live, our problems and our visions. Discussing about things closed persons would never discuss. Yes, were open minded, we both wanna change something in our world, a world with ignorant people, lack of communication and trouble. But also a world with people who think out of the box, with innovation and the motivation to change something.
Our next destination: Granada – the magic city. Accommodation in hotel, starting with a beer, ending up in the early morning. Tapas bar, Jazzbar, bars with live music. A huge and individual pub crawl. Back in the hostel, we slept only a few hours, thinking about our next destination: PORTUGAL, Tavira. Hauke home, the country of his middle in life, the country of freedom and happiness.. and for me: the country I`ve never been. A different country, but my new home and work for a few months, maybe much longer...
Tavira, a lovely and cosy town near the Algarve, apart from the mass tourism and stress. Surrounded by a river and with a traditional landscape. We stayed in the center of the center in a lovely guesthouse and had great great great dinner (Thank u so much for the invitation, Hauke) near the river, the last dinner during our travel experience, but not our last dinner together!
Back in Lisbon, I spent another week in his home, with Renate, a great woman from Berlin. Open minded to the top, Haukes host and now our guest in Lisbon. We went to concerts, Irish dancing events and so many beautiful places of the city Hauke and I fell in love with. We cooked together, had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time. Now i live in Lx, while Hauke is doing his next Couchtravelling experience trough the Eastern part of Europe, join him, its worth it! We both know after our trip, whats the real benefit of Couchtravelling is: not saving money, not easy mobility. No, its about sharing moments and exploring the world together!
