Oh my god thank you. Wendy is sooo pissed about the new movie. So is the whole trans group at the university. We were talking about how it was uncalled for but kinda understandable when Leto got the part in Dallas Buyers Club but Eddie doesn't even look like Lili Elbe and isn't part of the community in any way. My friend Parrish said "it's almost like they're trying to make people still associate trans women with cis men in dresses and lipstick".

I totally understand. The stuff I've learned about the violence that is committed against the trans-community is horrifying and I really think that a lot of it is perpetuated by the way that we represent trans-people, in particular trans-women.
