on the one hand, I am DEVESTATED by the death of RBG.  If Prez Dickwad and McConnell ram through a replacement before the election, it will be generations before we can recover.

on the other, I just started binging Broadchurch and I’m hooked.

I feel shitty to be enjoying something while the world burns around me.

I had some moments of raw emotion this week. See, My mom was my personal Notorious RBG. She may not have changed the world on RBG’s scale but she was a trailblazer in her own right, she never let a man’s presumed superiority stand in her way, and she never let her daughter think she was a stereotype. So yeah, she changed my world for the better. And now I’m responsible for doing the same for someone else. Thank you Mom. Thank you and Rest In Peace #RBG. As the 2nd woman to serve on the Supreme Court, she fought for gender equality, equal pay, a woman’s right to choose, and more. She dressed for decisions and dissents with a jabot, or special collar, to announce majority opinions from the bench and another for dissents which were frequent and celebrated. I’ve read her biography and seen the movie, and she truly was a badass woman.
