This is an article on Glamour by a blogger that went to a Naked Resort in Jamaica called "Hedonism", about her experience there on sexual harassment and the respect people should have of your body. Respect should be given, regardless if the person is naked or completely covered. Sexual harassment nowadays goes by with a simple "I was joking" and as a woman we are expected not to make a big deal out of it. I make a big deal out of it because I am not just a funny sexual joke or a piece of meat, I am a person, and I and everybody should be treated and respected as such. #notosexualharassment #respect #standupforyourself #itisnotok
No place is ever safe in this world, especially while in transit. Criminals will always take advantage of the time that people are out of the comforts of their home. And women, because of the common notion that we’re ‘weak’, will always be the most viable victims.
I’ve seen crime happen right before my eyes. I’ve seen someone had her phone stolen while riding a jeepney and a guy just snatched it easily from her hands on the outside. I’ve sat beside a snatcher who stole an old woman’s bag and threatened to stab her if she would continue to fight back. I myself have experienced it once and my phone got stolen. Until last Saturday, I had the scariest feeling ever. The one that got my body all frozen and trembling in fear. I just survived a sexual harassment by a co-passenger in a UV Express.
