Angel Dust and Husk are strictly platonic bffs, and I will fight and die on this hill
I don't hold any judgment against those who ship these two, but unfortunately, you are all entirely wrong.
Despite the flirtatious attitude from Angel Dust, Husk clearly has no interest in them either romantically or sexually. However, Husk still cares enough to lend a helping hand when Angel Dust needs it.
"Loser Baby" is about a platonic connection between the two of them, purely based on their own specific trauma and how their shared experiences relate to one another -- even if their lived experiences are vastly different. imo, reading it as some sort of weird meet-cute is just reductive at best.
On the other hand, this song is an excellent example of a semi-healthy, platonic friendship. There is affirmation and validation of each other's struggles, and how those struggles don't define them as a person.
Angel Dust and Husk exemplify a pure, platonic relationship. They obviously care about one another, but I would never ship them romantically or sexually because it just...doesn't fit?
"Loser Baby" is not a Love song. It is a song meant to glorify platonic relationships. And that's really beautiful in and of itself.
We don't need to make poitlntless ships just because two characters MAY be attracted to each other.
